I am excited to work in the Bagley Community with our exceptional education students. I obtained my Bachelor Degree from the State University of New York-Plattsburg and my Masters in Special Education from Walden University. Prior to teaching, I worked in adolescent mental health services assisting children and families with emotional and behavioral difficulties. I began my teaching career in 2010. I live in the Dora community along with my husband Ron and our children, Laura and William. We are active members of the community and enjoy attending church.
I believe that every child needs to be given a variety of opportunities and tools to help them to succeed to the best of their ability. I work to incorporate diverse learning into my classroom to allow students to find a place to engage in learning at their ability level. I find that students enjoy a structured environment that allows them to safely explore new methods of learning. I strive to find what avenues work best for each student and make efforts to join students on their individual learning path. At the same time, I want student to set goals for learning and achievement that are realistic and offer a challenge. I hope that each student I come in contact with realizes that they are unique and exceptional regardless of the challenges they may face
